Brian - YOU WILL BE MISSED!
Colorado Springs, CO - Not really, but after rumors of a move back to his roots, PIHA leading scorer Brian Yingling will be moving back to the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to be closer to family. “Everyone knows how close we are on and off the floor so personally it will be a huge change. As for the organization, well, we are not going to replace a Brian Yingling. He has been a huge part of our PIHA championships and an even bigger part of helping the Thunder in its relationship with the community. The kids will miss him, the fans will miss him, and our organization will miss him,” says CJ Yoder.

Brian, Dawn and daughter Taylor will be heading back east in a few weeks to be closer to family. “We’ve had tremendous support here in Colorado but there is nothing like family and ours is out east. We will miss everyone who has been a huge part of our lives here in the Springs but we are looking forward to being around all of the people closest to us,” said Yingling.

Yingling has been a staple working with the youth players in Colorado Springs and has been a huge supporter of anything the organization has done within the community. On the floor his skills are matched by no one and his tenacity has always had opponents scrambling. He now has the Thunder in a bit of a scramble. “Nobody is going to produce like Yings has for us for the past four years but we will move on and our goals and expectations are not going to change. We will miss him but we are heading into the 2010-2011 season with three-peat on our minds,” said head coach/GM Dave Needham.

In the best interest of the Thunder organization and fans, we have made Brian sign a non-compete contract, after all, that’s what all the big organizations like the Thunder do with their upper management. We surely don’t want to see him opposite the Thunder in the finals next year!

Brian, thank you so much for your commitment and dedication to our organization.   You will be missed!
